Position Summary

The Pump Down Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining pump down equipment during wireline and perforating operations. This role supports pressure pumping jobs by ensuring equipment is inspected, prepared, operated, and maintained in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Operate pump down units during wireline and perforating operations.
  • Perform equipment inspections, rig-up, operation, and rig-down.
  • Monitor pressures, rates, and equipment performance during jobs.
  • Communicate with supervisors, wireline crews, and customer representatives.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Complete job tickets, inspections, and required paperwork accurately.
  • Keep equipment clean, organized, and ready for service.
  • Follow all company, customer, DOT, and safety policies.
Requirements

  • Previous oilfield, pump down, wireline, frac, or pressure pumping experience preferred.
  • Valid Class A CDL is required.
  • MDT experience is preferred. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and safety mindset.
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and in outdoor field conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and wear required PPE.
